Literature review on the use of electronic medical records in data entry to increase efficiency in a primary health care centre in United Arab Emirates
Need to reviserewrite essay according to the following feedback:((very important strict follow comments))
This is an adequate Literature, Review, Alya. It suffers from being driven from the perspective of one study to the next rather than one issue supported by various studies to the next. However, in
your case it isn’t too bad a problem, although you will tend not to optimise your marks by taking your approach.
Please see more detailed feedback below.
This is OK as an Introduction except it has no references. This is a Literature Review and everything in it must be referenced. Please also reference the previous chapter.
I like this section. You have addressed it very well. I would, however, like to see why you chose your themes and whether they were emergent from the literature or whether they were predetermined.
Perception of health providers
This is a bit ‘shopping listy’ as it identifies study after study with the details thereof rather than debating the issues pertaining to the outcome of the studies. There is no real need to give us
the full details of the studies. What we need to see are some issues that you gleaned from the literature supported by references that you are able to supply.
Importance of EMR
You again seem to use studies often with the findings’ details to structure the section rather to present the outcomes of those studies and to develop your argument, and hence your chapter, from
Is the whole of paragraph 2 attributable to Krist et al?
Challenges in implementation.
I reiterate the remarks I make above.
Yes, this gives a good insight into the implication of the literature on your project.
This is more of a summary than a conclusion, which is not a surprise as the Implications section acts as your Conclusions in this chapter.
Please lead the reader into the next chapter.
Generally well undertaken, but please note that whenever you have citations of more than 2 authors you must always just identify the first of these with the phrase ‘et al’ to follow. Thus your
first reference on page (NO PAGE NUMBERS!!!! Please always include page numbers) in section 2.3.1 should be just ‘Terry, et al, 2012’. However, each of the authors along with their initials should
appear in the Final References list. There must be NO ‘et al’ at all in the Final Listing.
You do not reference your Appendix anywhere. No appendix should just appear without being mentioned in the narrative of the report.
