Blending Advertising and Corporate Social Responsibility to increase Reputation and Profits
I need an eight-page research paper formatted in APA style with an outline for a graduate class I am taking. I will upload ten of the references along with my annotated bibliography. Feel free to use three more scholarly articles to articulate the points in the paper. I would like to use my individual paper to advocate employing stakeholder engagement to manage the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) for an organization. I would like to explore whether facts in advertisements about an organization’s CSR activities influences its reputation. I also want to establish that blending advertising and corporate social responsibility can result in an increased reputation and yield higher profits than just advertising alone. There are many companies currently executing this successfully. Starbucks for example. One of the pillars of Starbucks’ culture and mission is contributing to both the communities it serves and the environment (Cornelissen, 2014, p58). They demonstrate this in their stores and mention it on their company website and their social media pages. Their communications strategy uses various social media platforms to engage with multiple stakeholders about their CSR activities. They blend marketing with stakeholder engagement tastefully on all platforms and through their actions and success demonstrate that “doing good for one group delivers reputational returns which are easily carried over and may impact the views of other stakeholder groups.
The purpose of the paper is two-fold:
1) Synthesize the major findings of the studies and articles you identified in your annotated bibliography, along with any newly identified resources;
2) clearly articulate the practical implications of these findings on strategic organizational communication practice. The paper should be clearly organized, professional in tone, and thorough given the scope of the project. The paper isn’t due until next week but I would like it at the same time as the outline.
